Telephony Integration for KDE

KCall is the telephony application of Kontact. It supports computer telephony integration and at the same time integration into KDE's infrastructure. KCall does this by using KDE's addressbook, which in turn can be a server-based groupware addressbook.

2007/08/02 - Port to KDE4 and Decibel done

KCall was successfully ported to the KDE4 environment, incl. Decibel. Our porting efforts was sponsored by Stichting NL.net.

2006/05/28 - Decibel Project announced

The Decibel project has the aim to provide a communication infrastructure for KDE and other desktops. KCall will use this infrastruture, once it is functional. This project is sponsored by Stichting NL.net.

2005/07/10 - KCall moved in subversion

KCall's source code was moved from kdenonbeta subversion module to playground.

2005/07/10 - KCall in Google's Summer of Code

Malte Böhme has been selected to work on KCall in a project of Google's Summer of Code. His project focuses on the underlying infrastructure (OpenTAPI). Read his first report.
